Anger is Toxic: Understand It to Overcome It

Diane will be speaking about her book, Anger is Toxic: Understand It to Overcome It. This talk will have many solutions to avoid getting caught in anger’s contagion. It will explain how harmful anger is to us, how it often masks depression because it is a defense mechanism hiding the vulnerable underlying feeling, and how anger has become an addictive stimulant drug for some individuals. Audience questions and participation will be encouraged.

Diane was co-owner of Halcyon Psychological Services in Mentor, Ohio which provided services to nursing homes, Employee Assistance Programs, outpatient chemical dependency programs, as well as her own private practice. She has a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology.
