Stepping Stones to Fitness

Wednesdays, 2/12-3/19/2025 at 12:30 p.m.

The Visiting Nurse Association of Cape Cod will offer "Stepping Stones to Fitness." This progressive exercise program teaches participants basic exercises to do at home to build strength and endurance, improve balance, and maintain your independence. The class is led by an exercise physiologist from the VNA of Cape Cod.

Advance registration is required. A complete VNA application is necessary prior to the start of program. For more information or to sign up, please contact the VNA of Cape Cod at 508-957-7423.

Transportation for Dennis residents can be provided by the Dennis Center for Active Living. Please all them at 508-385-5067 for transportation.

The Larchmont Remembered w/ Daniel Harrington

Saturday, January 18th at 11:00 a.m. 

Daniel Harrington will host a program about one of the most tragic, but little-known, maritime disasters in the history of New England. On February 12th, 1907 a steamship, the SS Larchmont, collided with a schooner, the Harry Knowlton, off the coast of Block Island in frigid conditions. You will learn about the harrowing stories of survival, heroic rescue efforts, and fascinating investigation into the disaster, which killed more than one hundred passengers and crew members. 

Daniel Harrington is a popular columnist for the Providence Journal and serves as a Director for the Rhode Island Heritage Hall of Fame.
