You’ll receive a variety of acrylic paints, paint brushes, and a 12.5 x 12 wooden pumpkin cutout. Craft your cutout into a fun holiday sign, tabletop decoration, spooky Halloween scene, or a fun-filled celebration of the fall season.

Mark Robinson, Executive Director of The Compact of Cape Cod Conservation Trusts since 1986, will present a chronological overview of attempts to “save the Cape,” which blossomed over the past 100 years as development ramped up, especially after World War II. Owing to a dearth of public open spaces in the late 1800s, wealthy benefactors would make occasional donations of land for parks, bird sanctuaries and arboretums. In the 1960s, governments—state, local and federal—made a more concerted effort to set aside critical areas from booming residential and commercial development. Today, there is a maturing set of players, including nonprofit land trusts, bringing sophisticated strategies and risk-taking to preserve the best of what’s left for public enjoyment and resource protection. Is it enough?

Prepare yourself for a journey to places where most are afraid to go. New England is home to some of the most haunted places in America and you’re invited to visit some of them with a guide who’s been traveling those roads for twenty years. Don DeCristofaro and the group he founded have spent nights in the house where Lizzie Borden may have killed her parents, the places where the real events behind the immensely popular movies The Conjuring and Hell House, LLC took place and what most people in the paranormal field would call the most haunted house in America, the Sallie House in Atchison, KS.
But more amazing than any of their other accomplishments is their work aboard USS Salem at the Fore River Shipyard. The Salem is considered by many to be the most actively haunted place in New England, and Don will discuss the entities who are still her crew, the effort to identify them and relationships forged with those entities. The evening is a paranormal journey of the land and of the sea, and an experience you don’t want to miss.

Longtime New England musician/author Matt York will perform the songs of Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, Kris Kristofferson and Waylon Jennings and tell stories of their careers. The four songwriting legends joined forces in the 1980s to form the country supergroup The Highwaymen. However, prior to that, they'd each established themselves as stars and their careers intersected many times since the 1960s.
York was nominated for the Boston Music Award for Best Country Artist and his music and story have been featured on PBS and in the Boston Globe.
