Mr. Fenn’s poems have been published in various periodicals, magazines, and other publications, including the 2014 Dennis Conservation Land Trust newsletter and the Cape Cod Times Sunday edition in July 2019, chosen by blind selection by a panel of published poets. He is working on a new project, a “Poetic Diary” geared toward spontaneous free verse and prose, and “Wind on Water” short poems inspired by the T’ang dynasty poets.
A former adjunct professor at Cape Cod Community College, Mr. Fenn previously taught at graduate schools of Cambridge College and Suffolk University. He has been a guest lecturer at other colleges, civic and private organizations, and poetry webinars. He is a past member of the Shakespeare Oxford Society and Shakespeare Fellowship.
Recently Mr. Fenn received an invitation to appear on Indianapolis Public Radio with host Mark Kesling, CEO of daVinci Pursuit, whose mission is to connect art, science, and the community.
Make the most of April school vacation week with a visit to the Dennis Libraries’ StoryWalk®. Head over to Johnny Kelley Park for Spring Parade, written by Camelia Kay and illustrated by Allyn Howard. This playful book is a vibrant ode to the arrival of spring in all its glory. March along with Mama and Baby Bunny as they welcome a festive parade of budding flowers and blossoming trees, new birds, butterflies, and bees, and all of their beloved friends, emerging from the winter season.
The walk begins across from the playground area and proceeds right between the posts for the Braille Trail. We hope readers of all ages will participate and, if you like, take time to enjoy thepark’s play and fitness equipment during your visit.
The StoryWalk® concept was created by Anne Ferguson of Montpelier, VT, and developed with the help of Rachel Senechal of the Kellogg-Hubbard Library. The Dennis Libraries thank these two innovative women, along with the Recreation Department and the Department of Public Works for the Town of Dennis, for making this event possible.
