Saturday, April 8th at Noon
Join us for a musical celebration of jazz, blues and ragtime. "Ragtime" Jack Radcliffe's performance will include great music, uplifting wit, historical anecdotes and
connections to local lore. Jack’s background in journalism amplifies a lifelong
quest for the cultural framework of his music wherever he performs.
“Ragtime”
Jack is a master of traditional country blues and ragtime. He has been
performing for more than 40 years as a singer/songwriter, accompanying himself
on piano, guitar and fiddle. In the ‘60s and ‘70s he was a fixture on the
coffeehouse circuit. From 1972-1976 his band “The New Viper Review” pushed the
genre envelopes of blues, folk, country, rock ‘n’ roll and jazz. He took a
break from the music business in the ‘90s, working as a newspaper editor, but
now he is back to music full time, directing Wepecket Island Records, performing
his own music, and touring with the Rolling Roots Revue. In 2014, Jack was
inducted into the Old-Time Music Association Hall of Fame.
