Wood Eaton, owner of the Cedar Spring Herb Farm in Harwich, as she shares medicinal and
cosmetic uses for common herbs. Her tips include using dill to help you sleep,
thyme to treat a common cold, and rosemary to ease the symptoms of Sinusitis. In
addition, sage makes a good wash for dark hair, and mint helps you cool down on
a hot day. Come with questions and learn to get the most out of these
beneficial plants.

Come and join the
Dune Tramp, an engaging writer and photographer, as he narrates a new virtual
tour. His journey takes the
audience across the landscape of Truro and Provincetown
over a four-mile stretch. The narrative features dozens of slides in an
hour-long presentation. The Dune Tramp “visits” nineteen dune shacks no longer
in existence in the Cape Cod National Seashore. This collection of photographs
will take you back in time with vintage images of the departed shacks,
graciously shared by the Cape Cod National Seashore and current dune dwellers.
Each shack is discussed, as the Dune Tramp shares a brief history and an
anecdote or two. It’s an entertaining and informative presentation for all
ages.
Dennis and Sandwich residents Joan McKenzie and Elaine Giberti
became friends when they both retired from their full time jobs and started
taking art classes together. Joan enjoys painting big, colorful pictures
of flowers, sunsets at the beach, and beach landscapes. Elaine enjoys painting landscapes, beaches of
the Cape, and favorite places from her
travels. Both are
members of, and have exhibited with, the Cape Cod Art Association, The Yarmouth
Art Guild, and Wednesday Painters of Cotuit.
Come enjoy the colorful paintings of Joan and Elaine.
Their work will
be on display in our meeting room through June 28th,
with an open reception on Wednesday, June 11th, from 4-6 pm.
