Irish harpist Mairead Doherty

Get ready for St. Patrick’s Day with Mairead Doherty. The talented harpist and
her musical guests will treat listeners to Celtic airs. The stirring renditions of traditional music and the
delightful background stories relayed by Ms. Doherty are sure to entertain an
audience of all ages.
Born in County Tipperary, Ireland, Mairead Doherty studied harp under the
auspices of the Royal Irish Academy
of Music in Dublin.
She has performed throughout Europe and North America.
This year marks Ms. Doherty’s sixth year performing at Dennis Public Library.
We would like to thank the Dennis Arts and Cultural Council
and the Massachusetts Cultural Council for helping fund this very special
program.
