Tales of New England Vampires

Wednesday, October 30 at 7:00 p.m.

It’s the night before Halloween! What better way to chill your blood than with stories about New England vampires? Susan F. Jarek-Glidden, PhD, will tantalize our audience with true tales of how olde New Englanders handled their absolute terror of vampires.

Dr. Jarek-Glidden has been interested in folklore since childhood and has researched the New England Vampire Tradition for over 30 years. For the past ten years, she has spoken throughout Massachusetts on New England’s vampires, including the “Halloween” lecture at Tales of Cape Cod in Barnstable.

Together with her husband, Tony, she lives on – fans of the quirky 1960-70’s vampire series Dark Shadows take note – Collingwood Drive in Yarmouthport.  Dr. Jarek-Glidden holds a BA from Elms College, an MA from Catholic University of America, and a Ph.D. from Boston University.

At the conclusion of the presentation, Dr. Jarek-Glidden will take questions from the audience, where everyone is welcome to tap into her subject expertise.
