The Cape Cod Quilters have created this beautiful quilt called "Burgoyne Surrounded." Tickets will be on sale at the library for one day only; $1 per ticket or $5 for 6 tickets. Proceeds benefit Cape Abilities and the education and charitable works of the Cape Cod Quilters. Drawing will be held on December 5, 2013. Local favorite Susan Santangelo is back. She has just released the fourth book in her humorous Baby Boomer Mystery Series. This time character Carol Andrews and best friend Nancy attend a class reunion and find the dead body of one of their classmates in their room. The adventure ensues! The Baby Boomer Mysteries Series is well received by fans and critics alike; the third book Marriage Can Be Murder was selected as one of 2012’s Best Mysteries by Suspense Magazine.
Susan has been a feature writer, drama critic, and editor for daily and
weekly newspapers and magazines in the New York metropolitan area, including a
stint at Cosmopolitan
magazine. She’s a member of Sisters in Crime and the Cape Cod Writers
Center, and divides her time between
the Connecticut shoreline and Cape Cod, MA.

The Author’s Friday series is pleased to welcome first time author and Dennis resident Velia Pola. Her book “A Bridge Between: Northern Italy Come Hell or High Water” is a moving memoir, travelogue, and love story that chronicles a vacation to Italy where an adult child becomes caregiver of aging parents.
